About this job

The Branch Support & Organising Fund Local Organiser is a new and exciting role designed to take Unison’s organising objectives forward across the region.  The role will have a varied number of strategic projects working as part of the regional team.  Projects include organising across Multi-Academy Schools Trust, Migrant Workers, and recruitment within NHS employers.

The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills in one-to-one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning.  Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a trade union or community organisations would also be desirable.  You will also need to demonstrate knowledge of trade unionism and our Unison values.

You will need to be able to travel within the geographical location of the region and possibly to London for meetings/training as required.
