About this job
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, flexible, and resourceful individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for developing and delivering recruitment and organising initiatives, campaigns and projects in our branches, training and developing stewards, undertaking case work, advising, supporting, and mentoring branch officers and stewards in representation and negotiation.
To be considered for this role, you must have a sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives, as well as a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives. You will also need to have excellent presentation skills and communication skills, both face-to-face and written.
As an Area Organiser, you will be required to travel within the Eastern region and to UNISON Centre in London for meetings/training as required.
