We are looking for a committed and resourceful individual to be responsible for all aspects of operational (corporate) services within the Eastern Region and to manage a team of staff. You will be working under the direction of the Regional Secretary and will assist the regional management team to deliver UNISON’s objective of “Developing an efficient and effective union.”.
Your main areas of responsibility will include:-
- Staff management
- Finance administration
- Facilities management
- Health & Safety
- Membership systems
- Support for systems that enable democratic participation of our members in decision making
- Conference administration
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to the role in order to develop and direct a wide range of financial and administrative functions within the region, as well as managing the staff delivering them. You should have excellent problem solving as well as outstanding organisational and communication skills.
A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives is desirable along with a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives.
