UNISON is the UK’s largest trade union with over 1.3 million members. Our members are people working in the public services, for private contractors providing public services and essential utilities.
High inflation and rocketing energy bills mean most public service workers are worried how they are going to afford to feed their family and heat their home in the weeks ahead. UNISON is campaigning for real terms pay rise for all public service workers.
We are creating a new team of organisers to recruit new members across Yorkshire and Humberside. In addition to signing them up for union membership you will help motivate them to take an active role in our campaigns. This role will require travel across Yorkshire and Humberside region as you will be visiting workplaces to further our objectives.
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills in one-to-one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a trade union or community organisation would also be desirable. You will also need to demonstrate knowledge of trade unionism and our union’s values.
Working Patterns are broken down as below:
Full Time – Monday to Friday (1pm-9pm)
Part Time- Thursday afternoon , Friday and Saturday (9am-5pm)
