The Eastern Region is currently recruiting one fixed term Local Organiser to work with our branches to co-ordinate and lead the union’s organising agenda across the region. The new organiser will focus on recruiting new members, motivating them to take an active role in our campaigns, and identifying new activists.
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills in one-to-one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a trade union or community organisation would also be desirable. You will also need to demonstrate and knowledge of trade unionism and our union’s values.
Your office will be in Bury St Edmunds but you may be asked to work across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. There may also be an occasional requirement to work in other counties in the East of England and also possibly to London for meetings/training as required.
