About this job

You will work as part of the administration support staff team and will be responsible for operating the regional switchboard and providing day to day reception and clerical support in relation to the administration of the office.

You should be able to work to deadlines and under pressure. You will have a high standard of accuracy and be confident in using your own initiative. You will have contact with members, activists, external organisations and all levels of regional and national staff.

Whilst office experience and knowledge of standard office equipment is essential, you must also have good telephone and communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to deal with calls in a sensitive and positive manner. You will need to be able to work in a team environment and provide general clerical assistance when required.

Commitment to the trade union movement and the aims and values of UNISON is essential.
