UNISON is a trade union with just under half a million members employed across a wide range of occupations in the health service in the four parts of the UK. We work collectively with other unions to represent and advance the interests of health workers with Governments, policy-makers and employers. Our central Health Service Group team plays a leading role in Industrial Relations in the NHS, and works with our regions and other central teams to win improvements for the whole healthcare workforce.
The people we are looking for will work in our health team to support our democratic decision-making, deliver our industrial relations programme for a group of health activists (include running a large activist network) and support a range of policy and campaign initiatives.
Our ideal candidates will have experience of working in a membership environment; understand democratic structures and processes; have a developed knowledge of parliamentary and policy-making systems in the UK and have good digital communication skills.
