About this job

UNISON East Midlands Region is looking for a digital communications organiser to raise the profile of the union and our campaign priorities online.

We need someone to create shareable and engaging content for our social channels, manage our website and help us reach bigger online audiences.

As well as helping to deliver a regional message you will work closely with the regional press and communications lead, to assist our organising staff support 54 branches in the region, improving their understanding of digital media and the most effective ways to enhance their local workplace campaigns.

You’ll be interested in the world of work.  You’ll be passionate about campaigning for social change and have vast experience of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and other social media channels.

You will possess excellent literacy skills; be able to generate authentic content, embracing good design, get online culture and UK politics, and be able to respond within minutes to breaking events.

Ideally you will know about the work of trade unions and understand UNISON’s objectives.

You will be required to live within a reasonable travelling distance of Nottingham where you will be based.
