We are looking for someone with demonstrable skills and experience gained in a similar role in the charity or voluntary sector.
In this key role, you will:
- Be responsible for the strategy and direction of UNISON Welfare
- The management and administration of the charity
- Ensure the organisation achieves its objectives and annual targets
- Lead a skilled and dedicated team
- With the Chair, enable the Board of Trustees to fulfil its duties and responsibilities to ensure proper governance.
- Execute the Board of Trustees’ policies.
- Initiate proposals for change and development of policies, programmes and projects that deliver high quality services.
- Ensure effective promotion of the charity’s activities
- Secure additional income streams.
The charity has been incredibly busy this past two years with applications for financial support increasing by over 100%. We anticipate that demand in 2022 will be much the same.
Working collaboratively with the Board of Trustees and experienced team of staff, this is the perfect role for someone who can build on these achievements, shape the charity’s future direction and, deliver services that are both relevant and have maximum impact.
