About this job

You will provide comprehensive clerical support to the teams working within the Taunton Regional Office. You will develop knowledge of issues and UNISON policy and procedures to enable you to deal with a wide range of enquiries from members and activists and support the varied work of each team on a day to day basis.

Excellent communication and a wide range of clerical skills and experience are essential as is the ability to organise your workload. You will be experienced in supporting teams and be able to work quickly and accurately on a range of different projects in order to meet their various deadlines.

You will need a good working knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be required to regularly access and add basic information to a case management and membership system. Training on UNISON systems will be provided.

You do not have to have a Trade Union background, but you do need to have the sound understanding of the aims and values of the Trade Union movement.
