UNISON is seeking to recruit two Property Surveyors to our national Property Team. The posts are based in Central London but extensive regional travel will be required.

About this job

The postholders will be responsible for day to day management of UNISON’s freehold and leasehold regional property portfolio.

The role reports to the UNISON National Property Manager and entails organisation and management of planned and preventative maintenance, oversight of regional health and safety arrangements including fire risk assessments, portable appliance testing, fixed wire testing, air and water monitoring and all other aspects of building management in line with our statutory obligations.

The post holders manage office relocation and refurbishment projects and will deal with rents, rates, service charges and other associated costs and will liaise with specialist property service providers (surveyors, solicitors, project managers, valuers etc) working on behalf of UNISON.

The ideal candidates should have a minimum of five years’ knowledge and experience of property management, including experience of managing projects, and a RICS /BIFM or similar qualification.

We will also consider candidates who are studying towards, or are prepared to commit to studying for, a suitable qualification, including recent graduates or students in their final year of a Civil Engineering, Construction or Property Management degree or appropriate allied discipline.
