The Regional Learning and Development Organiser will be responsible for:
- Developing a high quality and sustainable infrastructure of Union Learning Representatives and branch education teams within the South West region.
- Ensuring that UNISON’s learning agenda is integrated into the organising, negotiating and representational work of branches
- Promoting learning and supporting branches in negotiating with employers around learning.
You will have excellent presentation and communication skills, both face-to-face and on paper. A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives, especially around learning, is essential along with a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives.
The job will require extensive travelling within the region, occasional weekend working and national meetings. A car is not provided but own car user mileage is paid.
