UNISON is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to support our growing organisation. The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to recruit new members and develop new activists.  Working with and supporting the Team to organise and drive forward our campaigning work within branches. This is a temporary post to cover an existing employee’s substantive role.

To undertake this role you must have good communication and interpersonal skills, excellent administrative, IT and organisational skills and a good understanding and knowledge of the trade union movement.

The post is based in the Reading office. The post holder will focus on delivering the Region’s communication and digital strategy, including social media as well as undertaking generic Local Organiser activity.

You will need to be able to travel within the Thames Valley and Hampshire areas.
