UNISON Eastern Region is looking for a permanent Local Organiser to support its organising agenda. The successful candidate will recruit new members and work with regional organising teams, mapping membership density and campaigning to develop new activists. To undertake this role you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the trade union movement and previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a similar organisation would be an advantage.

This role will be to support UNISON branches primarily in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire area and would be based in Chelmsford.  You will need to be prepared to travel within the region as required including to our regional office in Bury St Edmunds and also to London on an occasional basis for training or other purposes.
