The North West Region is currently recruiting a Local Fighting Fund Organiser to work with our branches to co-ordinate and lead the union’s organising agenda across the region.
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills in one to one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. To undertake this role you will need to be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of the Trade Union and Labour movement and UNISON in the North West Region in particular. Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a TU branch or within a similar organisation would also be desirable. The posts will be based in the Cumbria Resource Centre in Carlisle however you will need to be able to travel within the region and to the Regional Centre (in Manchester) and also possibly to London for meetings/training as required.
