UNISON Eastern Region is looking to recruit a permanent Local Organiser to work on a part time basis to support its organising agenda. The successful candidate will recruit new members and work with regional organising teams, mapping membership density and campaigning to develop new activists.   To undertake this role you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the trade union movement and previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a similar organisation would be an advantage.

This role will be to support UNISON branches primarily in the Norfolk area and the office base would be in Bury St Edmunds.  You will need to be prepared to travel within the region as required including to our regional office in Chelmsford and also to London on an occasional basis for training or other purposes.
