About this job

The Barts & the London branch is currently recruiting a Branch Administrator to cover Barts Health NHS Trust sites and other health-related locations across the London borough of Tower Hamlets. Successful candidates will bring their experience and skills in assisting the branch to develop systems and general administrative support, they will also assist the branch in recruiting members, developing new activists, and driving forward our campaigning work.

The successful candidate will be an experienced team player, have good communication and time management skills, including the ability to organise your own workload and effectively manage your priorities. You will need to undertake a range of administrative duties to support our members and activists including often working to tight deadlines and being responsible for updating and maintaining accurate and confidential records.

To undertake this role you must have good interpersonal and IT skills, excellent administrative and organisational skills and a good understanding and knowledge of the trade union movement.

You will need to be able to travel within the geographical location of the London borough of Tower Hamlets and on occasions elsewhere for meetings/training as required. You will be required to live within reasonable travelling distance of the area you are asked to cover.
