About this job

A number of UNISON’s Bedfordshire Branches, working together, are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to help grow our organisation and take part in this exciting opportunity in the new Bedfordshire Resource Centre.

The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to the role and be able to develop recruitment and organising initiatives and campaigns, train and develop stewards, undertake case work, advise, support and mentor branch officers and stewards in representation and negotiation.

You will have excellent presentation skills and communication skills, both face-to-face and on paper.

A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives is essential along with a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives.

You will need to be able to travel within Bedfordshire County for meetings/training as required. You may be required to travel outside the County for training purposes.
