A unique career opportunity exists at the UK’s largest public sector trade union. It is based at UNISON’s award-winning building, situated in central London between Euston and Kings Cross. We are looking to appoint a Technical Analyst within the RMS (Membership) Operations Dept. This department is responsible for UNISON’s membership systems and on-going training and future development. The post holder will be fully involved with the maintenance and development of this core system.

We are looking for a Technical Analyst to be fully involved with the maintenance and development of our core membership systems, and the provision of data downloads and management reports to staff at all levels.

The individual will be familiar with large membership databases and associated languages like SQL, business intelligence systems, and income management, together with a broad knowledge of desktop and corporate IT systems in general. This will be combined with an ability to prepare technical documentation, and to work within formal change management and project management controls.

As part of a small team, the post holder will have good people skills and the ability to work with colleagues across the union, and be responsible for making independent judgements within the framework of UNISON’s policies on data management and IT governance.

An understanding of Trade Unions and their objectives would be an advantage, as is experience of working in the not for profit sector.
