About this job
This is a challenging, creative and busy role, where no one day is the same as the next. One day you might be planning the launch of a film to highlight the growing social care crisis, and the next you could be briefing the general secretary for a round of media interviews, and finding case studies for a production company looking for just about managing families.
You’ll be a real people person with an excellent contacts book. You know instantly what makes a story (and what doesn’t), and how to devise campaigns that keep UNISON and the nurses, teaching assistants, care workers and other public servants who belong to it in the headlines – for all the right reasons.
You will have crisp writing skills, be full of enthusiasm, possess excellent attention to detail, be persuasive, able to work quickly but accurately, have the ability to multi-task, and be an all-round ideas person.
