About this job

The work is to support a Local Government County Branch of UNISON in running our Branch Office and providing support to our members. The post is based at our offices in Heathfield and Eastbourne and there is some flexibility for home working. You will undertake a range of administrative functions as well as work involving assisting and responding to membership enquiries and assisting senior activists.  You will be using a range of IT packages and must have should working knowledge of using database systems, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Are you a people person with good listening and problem solving skills? Do you possess the determination to make a difference to people’s lives? We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to support our branch. You will be highly motivated and have the ability to organise your own workload. Essential to this post is to be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a wider team. It is also important to us that you have an understanding of the aims and values of the Trade Union movement.
