Caseworker/ Organiser: Full time equivalent salary £31189 per annum plus £5277 London Weighting Allowance – 35 hours per week. Fixed Term contract for 12 months. (After completion of satisfactory 3 month probation period, a further extension will be considered)
The Caseworker/ Organiser will represent branch members on an individual/collective basis and provide advice on work related issues. This post requires industrial relations experience, organising and IT skills, and an ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies for members working within UNISON’s Surrey County Branch.
Essential to this role is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a wider team. A full driving license and the ability to travel extensively across Surrey is required. A car is not provided.
The successful applicant will need to provide their own vehicle. Travel expenses for legitimate work purposes will be paid, but not travel costs to and from work. A DBS check may be required.
You must be able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise work. You should be familiar with the local government, schools, further education, private, community and voluntary sectors, where the work will be undertaken.
