We have two Local Organiser posts vacant in London and one vacant in Manchester. Please make it clear which location you wish to apply for.
These temporary Local Organiser (SOU) posts will be responsible to the Head of the Strategic Organising Unit.
They will assist the Assistant National Officers (ANO) with the private sector campaign and some work will involve supporting the activist development campaign.
The London based posts will cover the South of England, Wales and the Midlands. The Manchester based post will work across the North of England, together with Scotland and Northern Ireland if required.
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills in one to one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. To undertake this role you will need to be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of the Trade Union and Labour movement.
Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a TU branch or within a similar organisation would also be desirable. You will need to be able to travel within the regions and London.
