About this job
The post will be full time (35 hours per week) based in our National Centre in Euston London NW1.
The post holder will be responsible for the following areas of work: providing strategic advice to the General Secretary and the General Secretariat; the planning and delivery of UNISON’s conferences; Programme and Project Management; National Executive Council organisation and administration; Complaints submitted by members and third parties; Ballots to authorise industrial action; Elections; UNISON’s telephone advice and information service.
You will need excellent presentation, public speaking, influencing skills and a detailed knowledge of the political, economic, social and legal environments in which we operate. You will also need a strategic understanding and commitment to partnership working within the organisation and a strong affiliation to trade unions and public service ethos.
