R3/48 Local Organiser (permanent)
Ref: R3/100t Local Organiser (maternity cover – approximately 12 months subject to one month’s notice)
Ref: R3/91t Local Organiser (fixed term contract until 22 May 2018)
UNISON is the UK’s largest trade union with over 1.3 million members, with almost 130,000 in the Greater London Region. Our members are people working in the public services, for private contractors providing public services and essential utilities.
Our public services are under major threat. Our members are working under extreme pressure but are actively campaigning for services and jobs.
The Greater London Region is currently recruiting 3 X Local Organiser’s to work with our branches to co-ordinate and lead the union’s organising agenda across the region.
The successful candidates will bring their experience and skills in one to one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives is essential along with a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives.
Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a TU branch or within a similar organisation would also be desirable.
