About this job

You’ll have excellent communications skills  – written and verbal – and an aptitude for picking up systems and digital tools to produce great online or print communications. You’ll have some professional comms experience but an appetite to develop your career further.

If that sounds like you and you’d welcome a great opportunity to hone your skills and gain experience of working in a complex, professional communications environment, come and join us.

You’ll be joining a communications unit which includes digital comms experts, writers, designers, film makers and campaign planners who work together to engage with UNISON’s members, develop powerful campaigns and recruit new members.

Your role will be to provide professional support to a range of processes which make this work happen. It’s a varied role – you could be writing text for our websites, email or leaflets, or using professional templates to layout or make amendments to printed or digital publications. You might be tagging stories or photos for our website or internal asset library, or keeping track of a publication from edits, through design, to print and delivery.

This role will give the post holder an excellent grounding in all aspects of delivering modern integrated digital and print publications and campaigns and could be the launch pad for your career in communications.
