About this job

The successful candidate will bring their experience of financial skills to the post; to prepare and monitor budgets, reconcile bank accounts, produce quarterly and year end accounts.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to organise your own workload and to manage pressure, priorities and meet tight deadlines. You will have contact with all levels of National, Regional and Branch staff as well as Senior Lay members and external suppliers. Everything you do will be in accordance with UNISON policies and the legal requirements on confidentiality

You will need excellent IT skills including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be required to use QuickBooks, RMS, OLBA and PSE systems; therefore database experience would be preferred. Training on UNISON systems will be provided.

A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives is essential along with a good understanding of UNISONs policies and objectives.
