The Branch is seeking to recruit a Local Organiser for 12 months; the post will be filled either on a secondment basis or as a fixed term contract. If applying as a secondment it is the applicants’ responsibility to have confirmed arrangements with their employer before applying.

 

The Branch is looking for a Local Organiser primarily to recruit new members, identify and support activists in the community, private and voluntary sectors. Reporting to the Branch Executive, you must be able to work on your own initiative in an outreach capacity. You will need knowledge of employment law, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and knowledge of the Trade Union movement, its aims and values. You should also have good IT and administrative skills.
