The successful candidate will provide members with advice/representation on work related issues. Recruitment of new members and activists will play part of this role, as will the mentoring of representatives.
We are looking for somebody that has enthusiasm, get up and go, excellent organisational, negotiating and planning skills, plus a sense of humour.
The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, have flexibility and present a professional, approachable image of UNISON. A knowledge of Trade Unions/employment law would be an advantage. A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential.
You will be part of a small team, managed by the Branch Secretary, liaising closely with the Branch Executive.
This is a 23 month fixed term post.
