About this job
UNISON has its headquarters in an award winning building in Central London. The complex includes office accommodation for around 300 people, a small museum and over 50 residential units. Our external events service is growing fast and our high quality meeting space is very popular.
As a key member of the Events Team, you will provide a high level of customer service to all users of the premises. This is a wide ranging post which supports both the events management and the facilities team functions at the UNISON Centre. You will need to be happy working as part of a team, yet able to work independently using your own initiative.
You’ll co-ordinate the day to day requirements of external events and internal meeting room users, from room bookings to event concepts and you will be a contact for organisations using our events service. You’ll ensure that all arrangements for meeting room layouts are in place, and be a super user of our room booking database. You will be providing administrative support to the events and facilities teams, and will need some experience in using room booking software or databases and be a competent user of desktop productivity software. There will be a need to cover front of house during busy periods, so you will have some experience of reception duties.
There will be some need to cover evening and weekend external client events, so you must be available to work flexibly from time to time.
