About this job
You will be responsible for the accurate and detailed processing of a range of financial transactions using our IT software. Prioritising the work to meet standards and timetables, we’ll expect you to work closely with your team leader to help other team members improve their skills and develop their roles. As well as dealing with internal and external customers in a professional manner, you will be involved with a variety of specific technical issues such as VAT and the UNISON’s standing orders that relate to finance, training for which will be provided.
You must have experience of financial data processing and recording in a finance function and be willing to learn our own software packages. Accurate data inputting skills and the ability to prioritise and assess your workload is essential. You have to be prepared to master the technical aspects of the post such as VAT.
You should have a good general level of education including GCSE A-C in Maths and English.
You do not need to have a trade union background, but you will need knowledge of the trade union movement, sympathy for our principles and be able to understand UNISON’s structure.
