UNISON South West is currently looking to appoint an Area Organiser on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to the role and be able to develop and deliver recruitment and organising initiatives and campaigns across the region, train and develop stewards, undertake case work, advise, support and mentor branch officers and/or regional activists.
You will have excellent presentation skills and communication skills, both face-to-face and on paper. A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives is essential along with a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives.
You will need to be able to travel within the region for meetings/training as required.
You will be required to live within reasonable travelling distance of the area you are asked to cover.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day on Wednesday 23 March 2016. Candidates successful at the assessment centre will be invited back for a formal interview on Thursday 24 March 2016.
