UNISON Berkshire Healthcare and Community Branch are seeking to recruit to the following position based in Reading.

A commitment to the Trade Union movement and UNISON’s values is essential.

Caseworker/ Organiser Salary £28,806 (pro rata) – 20 hours per week Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

The Caseworker/ Organiser will represent branch members on an individual/collective basis and provide advice on work related issues.  This post requires industrial relations experience, organising and IT skills, and an ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies for members working within UNISON’s Berkshire Healthcare and Community Branch.

Essential to this role is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a wider team.  A full driving license and the ability to travel extensively across Berkshire is required. A car is not provided. The successful applicant will need to provide their own vehicle.

You must be able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise work.  You should be familiar with the Private, Community and Voluntary sector, where much of the work will be undertaken.
