We are looking for an Education Officer to cover fixed term maternity leave for up to 12 months (subject to 1 months notice).
You will design and deliver a range of learning programmes relevant to union organising and issues facing UNISON members, to ensure that UNISON activists have the skills and confidence they need to carry out their roles effectively, and to develop membership participation in the union. That includes giving relevant professional educational support to union staff and lay members at all levels, from the UNISON Centre to regions and local branches.
With knowledge of a variety of trade union issues, you will be a proven tutor and facilitator, with the experience to enable you develop and write learning materials for a wide variety of target groups. You will be well organised with the ability to work in a team and able to take lead responsibility for key initiatives and projects. Most important, you will be committed to integrating our aims, values and policies into all areas of our education provision.
