Standing committees
Regional committee takes decisions which affect the day to day running of UNISON in the West Midlands region between meetings of the regional council.
It acts on any matters referred to it between meetings of the regional council, and performs any duties delegated to it by regional council.
Membership of regional committee is made of delegates from a range of regional bodies, including 20 members elected from regional council. There are a range of regional standing committees:
Branch development and organisation
Communications and campaigning
Education and training
Finance and resources
Welfare
Sport
In addition there are the health and safety and international forums, both of which are open to delegates from all branches.
