UNISON members work in a range of public services, and are spread across seven service groups:

Delegates to regional service group committees are elected directly by the relevant branches and usually meet quarterly to discuss issues specific to their sector.

Birmingham City Council presses ahead with Compulsory redundancies ignoring voluntary redundancy process

(13/10/2010) Birmingham City Council today announced that they will continue to implement compulsory redundancies despite a pending voluntary redundancy trawl of the workforce.

(5/10/2010) UNISON's 'speaking up for public services' open top bus today travelled around the Black Country, stopping in Oldbury, Dudley and Walsall, taking an alternative, optimistic vision to the public.
