The UNISON supported Hope not Hate campaign is planning a weekend of activities on 7 and 8 November - organised by local volunteer groups across the length and breadth of the country.
The campaign will be distributing more than 600,000 leaflets against the politics of hate typified by the BNP and is aiming to get more than 1,000 new campaigners involved for the first time.
This is an ideal opportunity for branches and UNISON members to get involved and be one of the 1,000 new people on the streets of Britain campaigning for hope.
The weekend will see people remembering those who gave their lives fighting fascism. But the struggle continues - and we need to tell those in the communities Nick Griffin targets exactly what the BNP stands for.
As general secretary Dave Prentis has said: "This union, and millions who share our values, will continue to stand for what is right and decent, to celebrate diversity and tolerance, and we will not waiver in our campaign against the BNP."
