Stop the BNP

Don't let the BNP break up our public services

In 2011 there were local council elections across England. Elections were also held on the same day to the Scottish Parliament, National Assembly for Wales and the Northern Ireland Assembly.

The British National Party (BNP) sought to use these elections to exploit people’s fears and anxieties in the current economic climate.

UNISON believes  in a fairer society that values all its members equally, irrespective of their race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation or disability– a society where social justice, good jobs and quality public services comes first, not racism, hate and fear. It worked throughout the elections to challenge the BNP at the polls.

UNISON represents everybody - the BNP does not.
