Regional Women's Committee AGM 2009-10

The Annual General Meeting of the Regional Women’s Committee will take place on Wednesday 15th October 2008 at UNISON Regional Head Office, Ranger House. International Women's Day

The Million Women Rise march on International Women’s Day (Saturday 8th March) is asking women to join together in a show of solidarity to call for an end to all forms of violence against women. Gender Equality Duty

(3/4/07) The Gender Equality Duty is the biggest change in sex equality legislation for 30 years and is designed to help women, men, boys and girls. The Duty places a legal obligation on all Public Authorities to promote equality for women and men and take action to eliminate sex discrimination and harassment.

Women's self organised structures

Women’s self-organised structures at regional and national level comprise the Regional Women's Committee and the National Women's Committee.
