Labour Link Regional Forum & Labour South East Regional Conference - Friday 10 February / Sunday 12 February 2012

Delegates are invited to the Regional Labour Link Forum 2012, which will be held at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton, on Friday 10 February 2012. This year the Forum has been arranged to coincide with the Labour Party’s South East Conference, which is being held at the same venue on Saturday 11 February and Sunday 12 February.

You will, of course, realise that UNISON’s Regional Council is also being held on Saturday 11 February! Arrangements have therefore been made for that meeting to be held in an adjacent hotel, so that delegates will be able to move between the two events.

The weekend’s activities will conclude with a meeting of the Labour Link committee on Sunday afternoon.

All delegates to the Labour Link Forum must be Labour Party members, and the deadline for registering your delegates and returning the enclosed forms to me is Friday 20 January 2012.

The forum is also an opportunity for branches to submit motions to the Labour Link Committee to be considered for discussion, and a number of elections will take place at the forum including those for the UNISON South East Region Labour Link Committee 2012, Labour Party Conference and the National Labour Linkt Forum. Please return all completed forms to me at the Reading office.

On Friday evening there will be a Labour Party reception and on Saturday evening there will be a three-course dinner and social function.

If you would like to attend or nominate a branch member to attend please return the enclosed nomination forms for the South East Regional Forum, by the deadline of Friday 20 January 2012.  Each branch is able to nominate up to two representatives to attend and vote (branches with more than 1000 levy payers may nominate up to four representatives).

Please note there will be no cost to the branch.

We hope you can join us and look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely

Tony Jones
