If you work for the Probation Service in England and Wales, your pay and conditions are negotiated at the Probation Service National Negotiating Council (NNC).UNISON sits alongside our sister union, Napo, on the Trade Union Side of the NNC. We submit claims to the Employers on the NNC for improvements in your pay and conditions
The NNC negotiates a Handbook of terms and conditions which applies in full to every Probation employee.
All Probation jobs have been evaluated under the NNC Job Evaluation Scheme (a job ranking process) and then placed on one of the 6 NNC pay bands. You can find details of the latest pay arrangements that apply on the Probation Association website:
