Last chance to renew tax credits

(12/07/10) Do you receive tax credits? Then this week is the time to renew them, before the coalition government’s changes come in next year.

Every year, claimants must renew their tax credit awards by 31 July, or their payments stop.

And to make it easier, HM Revenues and Customs has launched a series of online videos to make the renewal process easier.

The videos aim to help people through the tax credits renewals process, providing information about:

• how to check the information in the renewal packs;
• how to notify HMRC of their changes in circumstances;
• how to provide details of their previous year’s income.
