Due to resignations, by-elections will be held for four seats on three service group executives. The vacancies are:
- higher education Scotland reserved seat;
- local government Eastern reserved seat;
- police and justice East Midlands general seat;
- police and justice Wales female seat.
The nomination period for these by-elections will open on Wednesday 9 January and close at 5pm on Friday 15 February 2013.
