Defend trade union rights in Newham
(19/5/04) Further strike action is to take place in Newham in protest at the withdrawal of trade union facilities by the council. Strike action will take place on 26 and 27 May.In addition, two other events are planned to protest at the council's stance.
At 7pm on Friday 21 May, a public meeting and rally will be held at St. John's church, Stratford Broadway, London E15, (opposite the shopping centre).
Additionally, on 26 May at 12.30pm, a demonstration will assemble at Queen Street market, Green Street, near to Upton Park tube station.
Everyone who wants to show their support for trade union rights in Newham is encouraged to support these events.
