Education noticeboard

** New Courses**

The ICT (computer) course is being held on the 11, 12 & 13 October (not November as previously advertised in UNISON Learning in London); Stewards Refresher is on the 16th and 17th November and the Dealing with bullying and harassment is on the 10, 11 & 12 October 2010.

** New** - Equality Reps Training Course
UNISON has recently introduced the role of Equality Reps in UNISON branches. This role is designed to compliment the current Equality Officers role, in the same way that Health & Safety reps work with Branch Health & Safety Officers. The role covers three main areas of work:

  • playing a key role in branch negotiations;
  • supporting officers and stewards in their equality work;
  • keeping equalities central to the branch

Contact the education team - 0207 535 6645 for dates and more information.
