The GLRBMC also receive reports back from representatives who sit on all Regional Committees/Council, the National Black Members Committee, SERTUC and other regional forums such as the Regional Diversity Forum.

The work of the RBMC is primarily organised and carried out by small working groups consisting of elected members from the Committee.

Members are elected to the Regional Black Members Committee in line with the GLRBM Constitution. Committee members are elected from each Service Group that UNISON organises in, ie Local Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, Water, Gas, Electricity and Transport.

  4. To advise and assist Regional Service Groups on matters of concern to black members.
  5. To advise and assist the Regional Committee on matters of concern to black members.
