Care quality commission
UNISON is the largest union in the Care Quality Commission. We represent staff at every level including inspectors and assessors, business services staff, professional and technical staff, customer services staff, team leaders and managers.
The creation of the Care Quality Commission has been a bumpy ride - the latest episode in a history of reorganisation, merger and demerger for health and social care regulation.
Throughout this troubled history, UNISON has represented staff through thick and thin. We're still here, and as a result of bringing our members from the previous Commissions together, we're bigger and stronger too.
Whether you transferred in from one of the previous commissions or you are starting as a new recruit into CQC, we want you to join us so we can build a really strong voice for ALL staff in CQC.
We know that these may be troubling times for you individually - having to cope with new management structures, different cultures and ways of working, and uncertainty about how everything is going to bed down. In these circumstances you need to know your rights and have access to representation. If you have problems at work, issues affecting your health and safety or have a grievance or complaint, UNISON has a good track record of success in representing members and getting results.
We also want you to have your say on pay, terms and conditions and ways of working for the future. The more staff in CQC who join UNISON, the stronger we will be in representing your interests and shaping the new organisation.
