Cash for care

Cash for care - tell us your story
Local councils across the country are introducing a new system called ‘personal budgets’, to give people cash to spend on the care they need.
UNISON is worried that some councils are rushing these changes through, which could leave vulnerable elderly or disabled people struggling to cope. Staff providing care will also see big changes.
Are you?
- Getting cash for care and maybe employing a personal assistant or are you receiving care from the local council or an agency?
- A care worker employed by an individual, a local authority, a private agency or do you volunteer?
- An unpaid carer for a family member or friend?
- Know someone who is receiving care?
