No pride in Israeli apartheid
(13/12/2012) At UNISON LGBT conference in November some delegates took part in making a short simple film telling Israel they are not fooled by its attempts to woo them over by presenting Israel as a gay-friendly destination.The 69-second
film sends Israel a simple message: 'no to Israeli apartheid'. Show it at a branch meeting to generate discussion on 'pinkwashing' and UNISON's policy on Palestine and the Middle East.Pinkwashing, a PR technique, aims to use opposition to homophobia to legitimise Israel and undermine support for Palestine. The film simply says LGBT members in UNISON are not taken in!
