HIV/AIDS

HIV/AIDS and its impact worldwide is a priority international issue for UNISON. HIV/AIDS is a key workplace issue as a large number of those living with the disease are aged between 15 and 49, in the prime of their working lives.

As a trade union, UNISON can play a vital role in the struggle against HIV/AIDS. By working with sister unions, we are striving to ensure that workplace rights are upheld; education and training is made available to members and their families; and access to treatment and care is negotiated.

The future of public services in Europe

This paper explores the current debate on Europe and seeks to outline some ideas on how the debate on public services might evolve over the next decade, with a particular view to stimulating productive thought and discussion as to how public service trade unions can best respond to these challenges.
